Care Instructions

Washing:

• Hand wash only.

• Use cold water and gentle, natural soaps (e.g., Marseille soap).

• Add a small amount of white vinegar only during the first wash to help set the color and prevent fading.

Ironing:
Silk can be ironed, but it requires extra care to preserve its delicate fibers.

• Low temperature: Select the lowest heat setting or the “silk” mode on your iron. Avoid temperatures above 150°C (302°F) to prevent damage or burning.

• Iron inside out: Always iron the garment on the reverse side to protect its natural sheen and prevent unwanted shine marks.

• Use a protective cloth: Place a clean cotton cloth—dry or slightly damp—between the iron and the silk to avoid direct contact.

• Iron while slightly damp: Silk is easier to press when it is still a bit damp. If completely dry, creases may not come out easily; if too wet, stains may form.

• Avoid direct steam or water spray: Do not spray water directly onto the fabric, as it may leave permanent marks.

• Use steam with caution: If your iron has a steam function, use it lightly. A handheld garment steamer is an excellent alternative, offering a gentler and safer method (as suggested by SteamOne).

• Move gently: Keep the iron moving; do not hold it in one spot for too long.

• Follow the grain: When possible, iron following the fabric’s grain to avoid distortion.
